UK is constantly seeking to strengthen its economic relationship with China. This is even more apparent when Boris Johnson has repeated express he is determined to improve ties with China
National Statistics figures show the UK imported more goods from China (£11bn) than from any other trading partner in the second quarter of 2020.
While there is always tension across the government as to where the balance should be in regards to policy towards China post-Brexit, in balancing and replacing European markets and the standing ground for human rights, it is undeniable that UK is looking to work with China going forward.
