‘Malaysia-Britain ties intact regardless of Brexit’ – Nation | The Star Online

There will be no change in the relationship between Britain and Malaysia regardless of what happens in the British parliament on Brexit, says the country’s High Commissioner to Malaysia Vicki Treadell.

“Whilst all of that is going on, I can reassure you that this does not change, damage or affect our relationship with Malaysia, nor the work that we are doing – whether it is government to government, business to business.

“The strength and depth of our relationship will endure. Our ambition is to build on it to deepen and broaden and strengthen it further,” she said in a statement yesterday.

Treadell said the good relations between Malaysia and Britain can be seen in Britain’s first Cabinet visit to Malaysia of the year by British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
